DXC’s Autism@Work Programme

The DXC Dandelion Program is a paid employment programme designed to identify and recruit people from within the autistic community and provide the necessary workplace and job related skills to help build a career. This is done in a supported team environment with team members who are skilled in working with people on the autism spectrum.

DXC Workplaces

DXC have embraced a more flexible and agile work experience with some staff working at DXC’s office sites when the requirement of their role requires a physical presence. Others work from home when their role can be performed remotely online without visiting a DXC office.

The Trainee Secured Infrastructure Engineer roles are virtual roles working from home


The role will sit within the restricted Accounts Secure Infrastructure team within the DXC Security organisation and will through the programme’s training acquire skills and knowledge of multiple security technologies. It will be essential to build knowledge and experience of Network Security tooling and configuration and or Antivirus Offerings.

The role is to provide Security Services to DXC Security clients and DXC Technology as a whole.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technology engineering support to external customers and internal project teams.

  • Responsible for and contributing to the provision of technical support in the creation and delivery of technology solutions designed to meet customers' business needs and, consequently, for understanding customers' businesses.

  • Maintain knowledge of leading-edge technologies and industry/market domain knowledge.

  • Actively contribute to DXC Security's solutions portfolio by providing information ranging from technical knowledge to methodologies based on experience gained from customer projects.

  • Help shape technical direction and technical strategies within the organisation and for external customers.

  • Document Project work to ensure continuity within the team.

Qualifications: There are no specific qualifications required for the role, you will be taught the skills and processes required as part of the DXC Dandelion Programme activities. You should have the aptitude to want to Learn and obtain Certification in Security Products aligned with our DXC Secured infrastructure go forward Portfolio

Preferred Skills: 

Candidates should:

  • Be proficient using Windows based technologies such as Microsoft Office 365.

  • Have an interest in developing skills in a complex IT Security environment

  • Possess an excellent attention to detail

  • Be proficient and clear in their verbal and written communication skills

  • Be able to work on their own and in a busy team environment.
